The best wishes from the authorities on behalf of all the Stakeholder holders honoured by Carpeting Jute Mills Ltd. As you know, the jute industry plays an important role in the economy of Bangladesh. BJMC has been working tirelessly to preserve the success of the jute industry. Carpeting Jute Mills Ltd. is a very important contributor to BJMC as a mill. Reviewing the history shows that the development of the jute industry was one of the main demands of the historic 6-point movement. Moreover, soon after independence, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman nationalized the jute mills of this country. After the independence of Bangabandhu’s public welfare decisions, more than 80% of Bangladesh’s total foreign exchange earnings was achieved from the export of jute and jute goods in the first 4 years. One-fifth of the country’s population was, directly and indirectly, involved with the industry.
